And that brings us to the topic of this post. One of the series I read was the Dark Disciple trilogy. It is set in the dragon lance world (and that’s been around for a long time) to my knowledge it is the latest series set in that world. It follows the story Of a girl named Mina and her coming of age and the catastrophe that follows her discovering the truth of her upbringings.

If you’re into fantasy novels then I highly recommend this series. Magic, Wizards, high priests, Clerics, Paladins, Gods and mortals this book covers pretty much all the bases of the genre. I just finished the last book only an hour ago.

So thats about all I feel worthy of posting of my time here and now I’m going back to hide away in the mountains.

So I am in Japan, studying Japanese and I have this little story.
The director of the international office took me to my building on one of the first days to setup my bank account and he told me he was from an area of Japan where Ninjas first became famous.
he was saying this for serious
I asked him, “so are you a ninja?”
He was startled and almost seemed like I was serious.
he then replied, “no no no”
Then realizing I was just playing he chuckled.
I then told him, “so if you were a ninja you probably wouldn’t admit to it, huh?”
“…” I got no response.
So I’m pretty sure he’s a ninja because he was the one who knew where the Giant Tetsujin Nijyuhachi-go Robot was, that is because when I asked where to find it in the international office he was the one everyone went to in order to find out, he even had a picture of it already on his cell phone.

“Are people serious when they say there is no good music anymore?”

Naturally I have a few different aspects on this subject. Part of me says yes, there is no good music anymore….within the confines of modern media corporations  there is no good music. I mean why do they cram this God awful music down our throats?

So I can see how someone can definitely be horribly mislead and have a jaded view on the current state of affairs in the music industry.

To quote the band NOFX (masters of D.I.Y. )

“We want music created from devotion, not ambition, not for fame”

When did music become a fashion statement? Half of the most “popular” bands sound the way they do because their music is so over-produced that they sound nothing like it when they play live….(with the exception of Coldplay I never cared for them, but I respect that they sound spot on for whatever goes on their albums) but hey at least they look good right?
Here comes the part that really kills me. Most everyone I know hates music on the TV or radio….and I know that most of you either share the same opinion or at least you know somebody that does. So I ask with all of these people not liking the current state of major label music WHY ARE THESE BANDS STILL GETTING AIR TIME AND GETTING ON THE TOP 40 LIST!? And I answer: because they give us no choice. You can either be like me and not have anything to do with music on radio and TV (and I don’t expect that from anybody, it’s just what I do) or they take option 2 and that is simply choosing the lesser of two evils.

it makes me sick.

and now I’m getting very tired so i will post my opposing argument to the “why do people think there is no good music” question on the morrow or possibly later this evening.

I was watching one of those ghost stories on TV, and I wondered about all of the signs, that go with demonic activity/posession. Found the following lists on http://fspp.net/warn%20poss.htm I do not take credit for them. But more than a few of them are outright freaky.

These are some symptoms relating to Demonic Possession. Be warned that sometimes drug addiction and or mental problems can also cause many of these symptoms. Just because you recognize some of them doesn’t mean the person in mind or yourself is possessed. It is a rare thing but does happen. The last thing you want to do is classsify something that is a human action, as a demonic, therefor giving more authority to evil than needed.

Many people with schizophrenia experience some of these, and to classify them as demonically possessed is damaging to the person, because they may assume they are evil and try to hurt themselves or others.

Some of the changes and or events, are clearly the result of demonic activity and can only be classified as such. I have underlined a few of the Freakish ones.

Physical Changes Affecting The Person
1 The person involved may go for long periods of time without blinking their eyes. (Can indicate a neurological condition)
2 The person may appear catatonic. (Can also be a sign of mental illness)
3 The person speaks a language they could not possibly know. (Or speak English with unusual accents.)
4 The person speaks in tongues. ( Evil often copies in mockery the miracles of the Lord)
5 The person will become completely rigid where they cannot be moved at all, even by multiple people.
6 Look for changes in the eyes. They may turn almost black like shark eyes. (HOLY CRAP!)
7 Look for obvious changes in their features.
8 The person may possess inhuman strength.
9 The person may exhibit “precognition,” the ability to predict the future.
10 The person displays “retro cognition,” the ability to know about past events they should not know about.
11 The person may be able to know something about a person they have not met.
12 Their voice may change. It may go from high to low to guttural.
13 They may be able to tell what you are thinking.
14 They may move in some unusual way. For example, they may seem to glide instead of walk.
15 Writing or symbols may appear on the body in the form of welts and scratches. Look especially in areas they could not reach.
16 They may levitate.
17 Hair or eye color may change.
18 There may be multiple voices coming from the person at the same time.
19 Take note if animals appear to be frightened of the person, especially if they begin acting fearful when there are personality changes in the person.

Outward Manifestations
1 Objects move around seemingly by themselves.
2 Objects may disappear and not be found again. (Asporting)
3 Objects may disappear and be found in another location. (Teleporting)
4 Objects may disappear and later be found where they originally were.
5 Objects may come from nowhere. (Apports)
6 Knocking, banging or pounding may be heard throughout the house or in just one room.
7 Objects fly around as if they were thrown from unseen hands.
8 There may be knocks at the door but no one is ever there. These are often heard in threes, as this is a way of mocking the Holy Trinity. Ditto for doorbells.
9 Religious articles disappear or are destroyed. They may also be desecrated.
10 Growling may be heard but the source cannot be located.
11 There may be scratching sounds heard without an obvious source.
12 There may be foul odors that have no verifiable source. They may come and go.
13 Odd lights may be seen. They may shoot around a room.
14 Heavy furniture may move on its own.
15 There may be sightings of people or dark shadows that may or may not have form.
16 Odd-looking creatures may be seen.
17 Doors and drawers may open and close on their own.
18 Electrical appliances may turn on or off.
19 Spontaneous fires may start up.
20 Animals may become spooked and stay away from the targeted person altogether.
21 Animals may growl at something they see but you do not.
22 Any talk of God or religion may cause an outbreak of activity.
23 Glass may break for no reason.
24 Sounds of glass breaking may be heard but there is no evidence of it happening.
25 There may be sudden temperature changes, up and down although it is usually down. These can be recorder on a thermometer.
25 A person may suddenly become cold while the temperature remains constant. A thermometer may record a one to two degree drop in that person.
26 People may have a feeling of being watched or that they are not alone.
27 People may hear voices when no one is present.
28 People will often hear their name called only to find that no one is around. Sometimes, a couple will each think they heard the other call to them.
29 There may be a sensation of wind blowing even with the windows closed.
30 Lights will go off or not come on when turned on.
31 Apparent retaliation after some attempt to stop the activity.
32 Activity starts up when you attempt to say prayers.
33 Apparent retaliation if a clergyman has been to the home.
34 Physical attacks. It might be in the form of punching, scratching, biting, hair pulling, etc.
35 Psychological attacks. The devil knows your weaknesses and will try to exploit them. Someone who feels ashamed about something will have an increase in that emotion. The same is true for depression, anxiety and anything else you can think of.
36 Sexual assaults. (spiritual? Assaulted by a demon? NO THANK YOU!)
37 Levitation of objects or people.

Mental Changes Affecting The Person
1 Look for changes in personality. This is usually seen when the person is affable and suddenly becomes extremely quiet.
2 Someone who is normally very active suddenly becomes isolative.
3 Look for changes in sleep patterns.
4 Look for sudden weight loss or gain.
5 Look for changes in attitude and behavior, usually becoming hostile.
6 Someone who begins cursing a lot when that is out of character for them.
7 Notice if they suddenly have an aversion to religious objects. They may be a person who normally goes to Church but suddenly despises the thought.
8 Look for evidence of self- mutilation.
9 Look for changes in the way the person dresses.
10 Observe their personal hygiene and look for changes.
11 Look for evidence of occult materials in the room.
12 Look for destructiveness on the part of a person, especially if that destruction is of religious objects.
13 They may become abusive and threatening for no reason.
14 They may become violent. They often attempt to hurt animals.
15 The person may experience severe nightmares or night terrors.
16 They may perform acts of humiliation, such as urinating on themselves, etc.
17 They may be sexually pre-occupied.
18 Take note of what appears to be a different personality or multiple personalities.
19 Look for unusual changes in diet. Foods that were once favorites may now be repulsive to the person.
They may eat foods that they once detested.
20 Take note if they seem to have blackouts in their memory.

Last year I had a dream about demonic possession, and in my dream the kid displayed tons of these symptoms. Many of which I had no idea where signs of demonic activity.  Like precognition. Creepy.

The first time I set eyes on this game was right after I borrowed a bag full of Ps2 games from one of my good buddies from work.

I’m pretty sure I went through every game in the bag before I got to this one. What I was looking for was a straight up turn based RPG.

and thats what it is. It’s third person and totally 3d cel-shaded enviroment. I’m probably over 100 hours into the game and still haven’t beat it. A friend of mine told me that I’m only about half way through. I could go on about the story and the battle stystem and the overworld and interactions with NPC’s or you can stop reading this and go play it. I just saw it at walmart  selling for ten bucks it’s not even a gamble it’s worth your money if you’re into these kind of games. and if you’re thinking that you’ve played the older dragon quest games and they were too hard =( well no worries friends because it’s got a great level/learning curve. So just got get it or download it…..doesn’t matter to me what way you get it.

Ok I’m back and after meeting with a bowl of rainbow sherbert we decided that this next song would best fit todays post.

Matson jones is a cello/violin driven band with a female vocalist. I heard them while listening to Pandora radio I typed in Rasputina for a search crytieria and got these cats.

The sone is called “Symphony” I beleive and it’s on a fan made trailer for “V for Vendetta” but it’s the best one I could find speaking from an entierly audio point of view. So here goes hope you like it.

I think that it’s absolutely idiotic that the media and people are afraid to say Merry Christmas… oh no, we might offend someone.

Oh no! But yet every day on the television people use the name of Christ in a constant derogatory manner. It’s okay to mock the Jesus of the Christian faith, but if you wish someone a time honored blessing, you are  suddenly politically incorrect and rude?

I think political correctness has become a disease that has watered down textbooks and history, and thinking people of the world. ( MSN did a report here )

I mean when did Christmas become a bad thing?

Now we are told to say “HAPPY HOLIDAYS” so we don’t offend this or that group?

Why have Americans become such pansies?

Wake up America, your country and freedoms are being subterfuged right out from under you.

I think it’s interesting to note that freedom of speech in America is going the way of dinosaur. Nice idea, sounds good on paper, but sadly the media, the government and your mom all control the proverbial “paper”.

Are the thought police next? I mean seriously, does anyone have a brain anymore? Can people not speak out?

New hate crimes laws are opening ways to make it a CRIME for people to have viewpoints contrary to the ruling masses on topics like homosexuality, religions. Even now there are groups lobbying to make it illegal to say controversial phrases like: “Jesus is the only way to heaven.”  or “The Bible teaches that homosexuality is a sin.”

If you are uncomfortable with statements like that, then shouldn’t YOU have the right to speak for or against such things without WORRYING ABOUT GOING TO JAIL? That’s what freedom of speech is, you shouldn’t get sent to jail for talking about serious topics, you should have  A DISCUSSION!

Pastors all over America are being targeted, threatened for this type of thing. Why have a faith, if you can’t even have religious freedom to pray and speak about the things that matter to you?

What happened to free thought, free speech, the ability to grow from and be challenged by ideas?

A few years back a cartoonist drew a cartoon depicting Muhammad as being a warlord, and what happened?

Riots by the followers of that faith… hmm, wait a minute so when someone mocks a Muslim character, riots occur and people burn down embassies, but if people mock Jesus (seen every day on television and media) Sure people are offended but usually christians peacefully seek change, change the channel etc, and THE CHRISTIANS ARE THE ONES LABELED as radicals, and “hatemongers”.

How strange is this?

For example, in the name of “Art” people have been given tens of thousands of dollars in government grant money to produce such works of art depicting  “Jesus” and other Biblical figures made of fecies, and in lewd sexual acts… etc. If our own government has seen to it that these things are okay to FUND, why is it so bad to wish people Merry Christmas, or to talk about our views on various faiths etc, and or Jesus with people…???

People are so scared to be made uncomfortable with someone’s ideas they make laws to protect themselves from any thought that challenges their way of being.

I think it’s obscene to create things like that, and we should extend a hand of peace, not a sword of wrath.

I wouldn’t want people’s freedom of speech stifled because I find it offensive. People have the right to be heard at least.

I am glad I can speak out and peacefully share my thoughts and ideas,  I think that is what gives us our freedom as citizens of the US. I want the right to speak against things I perceive as wrong and the right to hear out what others who don’t share my opinions think.

But don’t make it a one sided battle, that’s what happened in Nazi Germany…

I think we should try to create positive change, not hatred.

In England it’s already started… A recent case in Liverpool Christian hotel owners were in trouble with the law because they shared their views with a muslim woman. I think that if she was offended by their statements she should have just left. They didn’t chase her around with a stick and try to convert her, they were having a conversation with her from what I gathered… the case was dismissed but the couple is probably going to lose their hotel…

Do you want your freedom of speech taken away America? WAKE UP! So in closing this rant I say:

These videos inspired me, we should all form Ipod bands. Imagine how easy it would be to pack your “instruments” around. Let’s start a revolution.

Recently while working online I stumbled across this tramatic video. It’s a 911 call of a woman who is watching her friend be attacked, (torn apart) by a chimp.
I was actually more shocked by the cluelessness of the 911 operator. Do they get paid? I mean the guy was clueless, obviously not doing a good job in my estimation.

In my emergency training in the past:

Find the emergency, assess the situation, and try to try to secure the safety of the people involved.  Keep them calm, assist them in trying to get help. These are a few quotes as he responds to her….

:: Part of the transcript ::
(Chimp heard screaming in background)

DISPATCHER: What’s the problem with your friend, I need to know. (chimp screaming)

HEROLD: Send the police up with a gun, with a gun, hurry up! (chimp screaming)

DISPATCHER: Who has the gun?

HEROLD: Please hurry up! Please hurry up! He’s killin’ my girlfriend

DISPATCHER TO POLICE: 241 Rockrimmon Road they’re sayin’ someone has a gun and trying to kill somebody.

HEROLD: Hurry up!

DISPATCHER: They’re on their way, but I need you to give me more information, who’s doing this?

HEROLD: Inaudible…with guns!

DISPATCHER: Who has the guns?

HEROLD: No! Bring the guns! Ya gotta kill my chimp…inaudible

DISPATCHER: What’s the problem there?

HEROLD: Hurry up!

DISPATCHER: I need you to talk to me, I need you to calm down. Why do you need somebody there?

HEROLD: What? Please, God!

DISPATCHER: What is the problem?

HEROLD: He’s killing my friend!

DISPATCHER: Who’s killing your friend?

HEROLD: Chimp, my chimpanzee

DISPATCHER: Oh, your chimpanzee is killing your friend?

HEROLD: Inaudible…yes he ripped her apart. Hurry up! Hurry up please!

DISPATCHER: Inaudible…there is someone on the way.

HEROLD: With guns, please just shoot him!

There is more, you have to hear it to see what I mean.

I think he’s half the problem. He keeps asking what’s the problem when she told him over and over. I honestly think he must be slow. Or something was wrong with his comprehension.

The last think you want to do is repeat yourself over and over to an idiotic 911 agent while your friend is being torn to shreds by a simian assassin.

These are a few of his responses, he isn’t even giving her his full focus. She is clearly telling him what happened, and is happening. Can he not hear the screaming chimp in the background? Did this guy even care? Listen to his lack of tact as he talks with her, as if he thinks she’s pranking him. Or that she’s delusional.

In her case he should have established the situation, the safety, and notice how long it takes him to even tell her to get out of the dangerous situation….

This is what you should give the operator when you call 911:
1. The emergency and your location address and identifiers for police.

2.Type of emergency or specific details.

3. Is anyone injured?

4. Other info related to the incident.

5. Your name, and other identifiable information for follow-up

6. Phone number you are calling from.

7. Let the 911 Operator end the phone call stay on the phone as long as it takes. There may be short conversation interruptions due to the 911 Operator
talking with Emergency Responders. Stay on the phone until the 911 Operator tells you to hang up.

I just think it’s such a weird thing too how people try to tame wild animals and make them wear diapers like killers that could snap at any time… how sad.
